Women in Harmony
This choir was started up by the late Caroline Hall in 2007 and it continued as ‘Songbirds’ during the pandemic when they chose to sing outside instead. They sing a huge range of songs from many different genres, depending on what members like and want to sing. Initially the choir consisted of 4-5 women; it has grown over the years to reach the new high of 17 members, with crucially, along the way, having Ellen Stott’s support as accompanist. Women in Harmony meets every two weeks on Thursday mornings. New members are always welcome.
Contact Ellen Stott by email ellenstott@yahoo.co.uk for more details.

Heritage Group of Sand Hutton and Claxton
We are a small, local group that was formed following the Parish Plan in 2008. We are interested in anything regarding our villages and surrounding area, whether it is geographical or social history.
We began by writing the Heritage Trail, a history of both villages which is well worth following. We went on to publish accounts about St Leonard’s Chapel to World War One.
We have walked ploughed fields and found objects of interest, helped in producing information for a book on the Sand Hutton Light Railway and recorded interviews with local residents.
We also have hosted various historical events in the village hall.
If you are interested in our group in any way please contact one of us.

This dance team was formed in 2003 and in recent years has held its practice sessions in the Village Hall. They meet most Monday evenings from September to mid-April/May, after which they “dance out” at events locally and further afield. They dance both border and traditional Cotswold style. New members are welcome; anyone aged 18 or over can join, either as dancer or a musician. For more information see minsterstrays.org.uk or email theminsterstrays@gmail.com
