Our Facilities
The Hall is an excellent venue for local clubs and societies to meet, for Childrens’ and family parties, funeral teas and small wedding parties as well as many other events such as the Saturday Social and pop-up pup. There’s a main hall, a committee room and a well equipped kitchen. There’s also off road parking for approximately 20-25 vehicles
Just 6 miles north of York (2 minutes from the A64) it’s an excellent venue for business meetings
The Hall is available to hire at very competitive rates 7 days a week and normally between the hours of 8.00am and 11.00pm
HIRING THE HALL
The Hall offers a well maintained space at extremely competitive rates. Suitable for use by clubs, societies, private and commercial users, the Hall is located just six miles north of York in the delightful village of Sand Hutton.
The Hall is available to hire 7 days a week and normally between the hours of 7.00am and 11.00pm

If the dates and times you would like are available please complete the Hall Hire Agreement link to Hall Hire agreement and email it to the Booking Secretary bookings@sandhutton-claxtonvillagehall.org.uk
When the booking is agreed the Bookings Secretary will sign and return the form by email, together with an invoice for the hire fee. This will normally be within 5 days. The booking is not confirmed until the hire fee has been paid.

Facilities in
The Main Hall
The Main Hall, can be set up as an open space for sports such as indoor bowls, yoga, Pilates etc., or laid out in lecture theatre style.
Dimensions 12.8 metres (42’0”) x 6.4 metres (21’0”)
A built in projection screen is available for showing films, presentations etc.
Also available for hirers are a PA system and projector for use with a laptop computer.
A serving hatch facilitates direct service from the kitchen to the hall.
Outside of the Hall there is a metalled drive to gain access as well as a car park providing space for up to 20-25 vehicles.

The Committee Room
The Committee Room can be hired in addition to, or separately from the Main Hall, providing extra capacity and flexibility to your event space.

The Kitchen
The galley kitchen provides facilities for self-catering of your events.
Equpment in the kitchen includes:
- Electric oven with grill
- Electric 4-ring hob
- Large electrically heated urn
- Fridge/Freezer
- Dishwasher
- Single sink with washing up bowl
- Complete sets of crockery, cutlery, wine glasses and tumblers
Toilet Facilities
The hall provides two unisex toilets and a disabled toilet.
Disabled Access
The main entrance to the hall is up a small flight of steps. There is disabled access to the side of the building reached by a made up path suitable for wheelchairs.
Furniture
Furniture available includes small and large tables, as well as upholstered chairs.
Heating
The Hall has oil-fired central heating.
