The next meeting of Green Finger Tips Gardening Club is the postponed talk by Paul Bennett from the Commonwealth Graves Foundation Thursday January 16th 2025 at 7.30pm in the Sand Hutton and Claxton Village Hall.
This year gets off to an earlier start than usual with our first talk of 2025, rearranged from 2024 on the 16th January given by Paul Bennett from the Commonwealth Graves Foundation.
We have all seen, either in person or know from film and television, the vast war graves of the major conflicts in Europe but there are Commonwealth War Graves in places you might never have thought of and these have to work in different climates, geographic regions and amidst other cultures and religions. They are often lovely gardens in stunning settings and have to be looked after in a variety of ways.
