Are you overwhelmed with all the information out there about net zero, carbon neutral, zero carbon? Maybe you want to reduce your carbon foot print and are wondering what to do. The 24th February Saturday Social will hopefully be able to answer some of your questions. The event is informal and you can drop in and out as you wish. There will be the usual cakes provided by the WI and there will be plenty of time to meet friends, ask questions of the people who have presented and generally come away more informed about climate change and what you as an individual can do about it. Organised by the Community Climate Action Group (CCAG) for Sand Hutton, Claxton and surrounding villages we are keen to educate and inform. Come along to hear how local resident Nigel Davies, Parish Council Chair has insulated his home and reduced his carbon foot print. Learn about Energy Performance Certificates, what they are and if you need one. Hear about what the residents of Hovingham are doing to reduce their carbon footprint. Learn about the results of the Climate Action survey in our area and finally come and see how you can take thermal images of your property using the Thermal Imaging Camera purchased with a grant from Ryedale District Council. If you have any questions please contact treasurer@sandhutton-claxtonvillagehall.org.uk
