We are delighted to report that through a generous grant from Energy for All (Centrica) and Ryedale District Council’s Locality Budget (many thanks to Cllr Caroline Goodrick, local North Yorkshire councillor)) we have taken the first step in reducing the Village Hall’s carbon footprint. The Village Hall now has Solar Panels on it’s roof and a storage battery to capture the electricity generated (12 x Solar 370w panels with a 3.68kW Hybrid Inverter and a 1 x 5kW Battery). We look forward to measuring the impact of the Solar Panels on our electricity bill going forward. The installation was carried out by IWE Services Ltd, Scarborough.
