The Village Hall committee has been working diligently over the past few months to reduce the Hall’s carbon footprint by seeking grants to introduce energy savings measures. We are pleased to report that we have been successful in gaining grants for two projects:

1) purchasing and installing solar panels on the Hall’s roof together with an associated storage battery and

2) a grant towards reducing the Hall’s electricity costs for lighting by installing new low voltage fittings.

We hope both these projects will be completed by the middle of the year. We also have received a grant to purchase a thermal imaging camera (Teledyne FLIR) E6 which is available for use by local residents. Please contact Colin Garner (colin.garner3@btconnect.com) if you are interested in using the camera.
